Pinnacle Account Verification: What Gets Asked, and When

A frozen withdrawal is Pinnacle's most common complaint. Here is when the check falls, and what it actually asks for.

A customs checkpoint barrier and booth across an empty dockside at dawn, soft blue haze, no people or readable text visible.

Pinnacle asks for identity documents before you can bet under one version of its terms, and only before you can withdraw under another; every broker route runs a separate check, on its own threshold.

Pinnacle's own verification checks accept a passport, driver's license, national ID or residence permit, plus a proof of address dated within six months; identity checks usually clear within a few minutes, address and card checks can take up to 72 hours and sometimes longer. Three of the four broker routes covered below cut that document-age window to three months instead of six, and each sets its own deposit threshold before the request turns mandatory; the fourth publishes no fixed threshold at all. The matrix below breaks down all six routes, source included.

Why the same word covers three different checks

Type "pinnacle account verification" into a search box and most results quietly assume one rulebook applies to everyone. It does not. Pinnacle currently runs identity checks under two live sets of terms, Curaçao v3.5 and Anjouan v1.2, and each places the checkpoint in a different spot: before your first bet under one, before your first withdrawal under the other. Layer a broker account on top, BetInAsia, AsianConnect, MadMarket or Sportmarket, and a second, separate rulebook applies, with its own threshold, its own document age limit, and its own timeline.

Two regimes exist here, Pinnacle's own and whichever broker's you pick, and nothing published connects them. BetInAsia and MadMarket both state outright that they do not pass customer data to the book behind the account, which is one reason to treat "verified twice" as a fear worth naming and then setting down: no source used for this page, Pinnacle's included, documents a second Pinnacle-side check triggered by a broker's own KYC. That question gets a fuller answer further down, because it is what this page's readers ask most right after "when." Before any of that, the practical route into an account, whichever door you use, still starts at the registration walkthrough; this page picks up where that one leaves a gap: the paperwork, not the sign-up form itself.

When Pinnacle account verification actually kicks in

Six routes, six rulebooks. The table below reads each one from its own source, not from a forum summary of it, and states the version wherever one exists.

When verification is required, by route, with the document age and stated timeframe each one publishes
Route When verification is required Proof of address age Stated timeframe Source
Pinnacle direct, Curaçao v3.5 Before your first bet; a further check applies once cumulative deposits and withdrawals reach 4,000 Naf. (no published EUR or USD equivalent) Under 6 months Identity: usually a few minutes. Address or card check: up to 72 hours, may take longer. Pinnacle help center and terms, Curaçao v3.5
Pinnacle direct, Anjouan v1.2 Not required to place a bet; required before your first withdrawal, with extra checks at every withdrawal after that Under 6 months Same stated delays as Curaçao v3.5 above Pinnacle help center and terms, Anjouan v1.2
Via BetInAsia None until 2,000 EUR in cumulative deposits; mandatory beyond that figure and before any withdrawal Under 3 months Up to 24 hours (help page updated 2026-06-24) BetInAsia terms and help center
Via AsianConnect No fixed euro figure; terms allow a check at any time, more likely for a large volume or withdrawal, unusual account activity, or the e-wallet used Recent; no fixed age published Stated as often within a few minutes; several Trustpilot reviews describe a longer wait AsianConnect terms and help center
Via MadMarket Beyond 2,000 EUR in lifetime cumulative deposits, or immediately on a first withdrawal request per its FAQ Under 3 months 24-hour review window; a Temporarily Approved status lets play continue while withdrawals stay blocked MadMarket terms and KYC policy
Via Sportmarket Before any withdrawal, or once cumulative deposits reach 3,000 EUR Under 3 months Most complete within a few minutes; longer if reviewed manually Sportmarket terms and sourced profile

Rows above read as confirmed from a route's own current terms or help center, with two exceptions worth naming plainly. Sportmarket's 3,000 EUR figure comes from its sourced profile rather than from a help article this page could read directly. AsianConnect's stated "often within a few minutes" timeframe is disputed by a number of its own Trustpilot reviews. Neither is presented as more settled than it actually is.

Four thousand Netherlands Antillean guilders is not a unit most bettors outside the Dutch Caribbean ever handle directly, which is probably why no converted figure appears anywhere in Pinnacle's published terms. Reaching that figure in combined deposits and withdrawals still adds a second check, on top of the identity verification every Curaçao v3.5 customer already needs before a first bet.

One gap is worth writing out in full, because it decides real cases rather than hypothetical ones. Pinnacle's help pages accept a proof of address up to six months old. BetInAsia, MadMarket and Sportmarket all cut that to three months. A bank statement dated four months ago clears Pinnacle's own rule with two months to spare, and fails every one of the three brokers that state a limit, on the same document, unchanged. Check the date on whatever you plan to send before you send it, not after a broker has already rejected it.

We would prepare the proof of address before the deposit that actually crosses a threshold, not after, because a document that is three months old today is closer to five months old by the time a backed-up reviewer opens it, and a slow queue can turn a document that would have passed into one that no longer does.

How deposits actually reach an account, Pinnacle direct or through a broker, is covered in the deposit methods guide; what happens once a check clears and money is on its way out sits in the withdrawal walkthrough.

Run your own numbers against the six routes

Pick the route you are on or considering, enter what you have deposited so far in euros, say whether a withdrawal is coming up, and enter how old your proof of address is in months. The result reads only those four answers against the same rules as the table above. Nothing is sent anywhere, nothing is remembered after you close the page, and the result never names a broker to open or a document to send instead of the one actually asked for.

Which check applies to me?

Six routes, one result each time. The tool reads the rules in the table above, nothing else, and gives no broker recommendation back.

In euros. Enter 0 if you have not deposited yet. Pinnacle's own 4,000 Naf. figure is not compared here, since no EUR equivalent is published.

Reads only what you enter above. Nothing is sent or stored, and the result never names a broker to open or a document to send instead of the one actually asked for.

Whatever the tool returns, read it the way the table above should be read too: as a reading of six published rulebooks, not as Pinnacle's or a broker's own verdict on your specific account. A support team can still ask for something none of the rules above mention.

We would treat every stated timeframe on this page, ours included where one is quoted, as a floor rather than a promise, because "usually" and "may take longer in some cases" are the operator's own hedge words, not this site's, and a hedge word exists precisely for the case that breaks the average.

Why documents get rejected, and how to prepare

Pinnacle's own help pages name three specific causes, more precise than most of the network manages:

  • Image quality too poor to read clearly.
  • A document that does not show the account holder's own name or details.
  • A file that is not the original download: a photograph of a screen, or a re-saved copy, instead of the original PDF.

Phone bills are sometimes rejected outright as a proof of address, even where they would otherwise meet the age rule. Broker-side reviewers add their own, narrower reasons. MadMarket asks for both sides of an ID with all four corners visible in frame; a cropped scan comes back regardless of how new the document is. A selfie or a verification call, which BetInAsia, AsianConnect, MadMarket and Sportmarket can all request beyond the standard documents, fails on the same grounds a passport photo would: poor light, an obscured face, a mismatch with the ID photo.

A rental agreement rarely carries the kind of issue date a utility bill does, which is why a signed lease sometimes comes back with a request for something newer even though nothing on it is false. What a reviewer actually checks against the age limit is the date printed on a document, not the date you happen to send it.

Getting a rejected document past a reviewer is not a matter of trying again with a different story attached to it. If a compliant document is still declined, the FAQ below covers what Pinnacle's own help pages suggest next.

Not actually optional

"No KYC" is not a setting any source used for this page publishes. Read every instance of it, here or anywhere else, as the check deferred to a later point, a higher deposit, or a first withdrawal, never as a check waived. Nothing on this page suggests sending an incomplete document, declaring a country other than the one you actually live in, using a VPN to reach a route, or opening a second account to sidestep a check that has already flagged the first one. Each of those creates a new problem instead of solving the one in front of you.

What the reviews say, and what a rejected document actually costs

Pinnacle carries a Trustpilot score of 1.6 out of 5 across 269 reviews, and a recurring complaint inside that number is an address verification rejected more than once on documents the reviewer describes as meeting the stated rule. BetInAsia sits at 3.1 out of 5, with a KYC loop repeatedly described in its own reviews: a document accepted, then a new one requested, then the first one requested again. AsianConnect sits at 2.6 out of 5 across a much smaller base of 16 reviews, with its stated review time disputed more than once.

None of that is proof of a pattern the size of the whole customer base. Public reviews over-represent unhappy customers by their nature; a smooth verification rarely gets written up at all. Read the three figures above as a documented complaint pattern, worth weighing before a large deposit, not as a measured failure rate.

A fuller account of Pinnacle's own reliability complaints, verification included, sits in a separate page built around that question alone; this page stays narrow on purpose, the trigger and the document, not the whole reputation.

Opening the account itself, whichever route you choose, is covered step by step in the broker account walkthrough. The checks on this page have nothing to do with which country you register from; that question, and why a VPN creates a different problem rather than solving this one, gets its own answer in the guide to registering without a VPN.

Every figure on this page comes from a route's own current terms, help center or sourced profile, named where it applies. The account you actually open still runs on whichever version is live on the day you sign up, not on the version summarized above.

Frequently asked questions

Does Pinnacle verify me before I can bet or only before I withdraw?

It depends on which version of Pinnacle's terms applies to your account. Curaçao v3.5 requires identity verification before you place a first bet, with a further check once cumulative deposits and withdrawals reach 4,000 Naf. Anjouan v1.2 does not require verification to bet; it requires verification before your first withdrawal, and adds extra checks at every withdrawal after that. Nothing published tells a new customer which version their own account falls under.

Which documents does Pinnacle accept, and how old can my proof of address be?

Pinnacle's current help pages list a passport, driver's license, national ID card or residence permit for identity, and a bank statement, utility bill, letter from an authority or lease for address, dated less than six months old. That six-month window is twice as generous as the three-month limit used by BetInAsia, MadMarket and Sportmarket, so a document that clears Pinnacle can still fail at a broker.

How long does Pinnacle verification take?

Identity checks usually complete within a few minutes, according to Pinnacle's help pages. Address and card verification can take up to 72 hours, and Pinnacle's own wording adds that it may take longer in some cases. No figure Pinnacle states is a guaranteed deadline.

Why was my document rejected?

Pinnacle's help pages name three specific causes: image quality too poor to read, a document that does not show the account holder's own information, and a file that is not the original download, a photograph of a screen or a re-saved copy instead of the original PDF. Phone bills are sometimes rejected outright as a proof of address, even when otherwise within the age limit.

Am I verified twice if I use a broker?

Not according to anything published. BetInAsia and MadMarket both state that they do not share customer data with the book behind the account, and no source used for this page describes Pinnacle running a second identity check on a customer who reached it through a broker. Two regimes exist side by side, Pinnacle's own and each broker's own, but a documented second Pinnacle check after a broker's KYC is not something any source states.

What does 'Temporarily Approved' mean?

It is MadMarket's status for an account that has started verification but not finished it. Betting stays open under Temporarily Approved; withdrawals stay blocked until the documents clear MadMarket's 24-hour review window.

What if my documents are declined even though they meet the guidelines?

Pinnacle's help pages point toward contacting support by chat or email when a compliant document still gets rejected. The sources used for this page do not describe an appeals process beyond that.
